Ministry Staff

Pastor Donald and Charlene Rudd are the appointed Pastors over Family Care at Man O War Church. Don has worked in the coal mining industry and road construction for many years. He also served for nine years as a church clerk before he was called into ministry in 1998. Pastor Rudd has been credentialed and licensed as an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God.
Charlene Rudd was a floral designer for many years. During this time she taught Sunday School classes for both the youth and adults. She has also served as President of the Ladies Ministries for a number of years. Don and Charlene have been married 52 years and have one daughter and son-in-law, Chuck and Rhonda Trimble, and two wonderful grand-daughters.
They are excited to serve alongside the staff and leadership of Man O War Church.

Jenny grew up in a pastor's home and began working with children at the age of 13. She grew up in Kentucky and married the love of her life, Rodney, at age 19. They have two sons, Alex and JD. Jenny loves decorating, set design, and working alongside her husband to serve the children of Man O War. Jenn y has been the Children's pastor since 2013 and continues to love our little ones with Bible-based teachings and discipleship.

Kym is a native to Kentucky and has been married to her husband Gene for 22 years. They have a German shepherd named Schultz. Growing up, Kym was always the mom when she played “house” and the teacher when she played school. Kym always had a baby on her hip, even at a young age. Kym started attending Man O War Church in 2007 and soon after began volunteering in the nursery. She became the nursery director in 2012 and has always had a special love for children. She believes God has been preparing her for this role by instilling this maternal nature in her and allowing her to teach His word. Kym's goal is to ensure Man O War nursery is a place where young children can be exposed to the love of Jesus through examples of kindness in word and deed, and where parents can expect their children to be tended to in a safe and secure environment. Each week her team strives to present Biblical truths in fun, creative and memorable ways that help provide opportunities for growth and learning for your children. Her team does all of this so that a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ can begin.

Misty grew up in Kentucky and regularly attended church, finding wonderful opportunities there to cultivate her love for worshipping the Lord through music. She fell in love with the French horn at a young age saying it sounded 'like melting chocolate'. She is married to the love of her life, Jeremy, and they have two boys and a pug. Misty can sing, dance, play numerous musical instruments and loves serving her worship community each week. Misty is dedicated to cultivating a diverse music program that celebrates many different styles and appeals to and attracts people of all generations and walks of life.  Each year, the choir puts on both an Easter and a Christmas production, which brings in thousands of people from around the community.

Brandon and Britney are both from Kentucky and met and were married while attending Man O War. They have four children. They love to spend time with their kids, go on adventures, dine out and spend time together as a family. Brandon has been in the auto industry for 27 years, Britney is an engineer for the University of Kentucky. They have been serving as Celebrate Recovery Pastors for six years.

Lindsey and Darlene both grew up in Kentucky where they met in church and later married in 1976. Lindsey's first job was at a local dry cleaners but church really became all he cared about. He began teaching Sunday school at the age of 12 and worked for a 24-hour Christian radio station at the age of 16. Darlene's first job was cleaning the church for $1 a month, which soon became a raise to $10 a month. Being a pastor's daughter her life revolved around the church. They enjoy reading, gardening, outdoor work and odd-jobs around the house. Most important of all singing and preaching the Gospel. Lindsey and Darlene have pastored together for 43 years and are thrilled to be able to join Man O War in providing pastoral care to other pastor's across the state.

Barbara grew up in Kentucky and joined the military right out of high school. She met her husband in Washington state while serving in the military. She has lived in Belgium and has been blessed to travel through Europe. She has been in Kentucky since 2008 to support  her mother and joined Man O War in 2010 where she got involved in the seniors ministry and bus ministry. She has been the Senior Adult director since 2018 and the rest is history!

Chuck grew up in California and New York and met his Wife Genia in Ohio. They have two wonderful and talented grown children. Chuck likes to travel, swim, cook some delicious smoked meat and spend time with his family. Chuck has been the General Manager for Leggett and Platt in Winchester for 48 years and for the past 7 years has been the Church Administrator at Man O War Church. 

Jeremy is originally from Wichita, Kansas.  After getting a degree in  education he moved to NYC where he met his wife, Misty, and married the love of his life in 2011 and have two  handsome and energetic children. His favorite pastime includes spending time with his family, swimming, reading, going for walks and occasional runs (once every 3 years), and talking around the kitchen table.  Jeremy has worked as a teacher, a technology specialist and an instructional designer - in 2012 he took on the role of Media & Technology Director at Man O War Church and he has been growing and expanding in that role ever since.

Ryan moved across the Midwest through the early years of his life. He is an accountant by profession, with a bachelors in accounting and masters in business. Ryan works bi-vocationally as a Financial Controller for a regional packaging company as well as church treasurer at Man O War Church. He enjoys playing chess and hiking and will never pass up an opportunity to tell a good pun. Actually it doesn’t even have to be good… he’ll settle for any pun-ch line he can think of at the time. In addition to his role as the church treasurer, he also volunteers on the media team and, during most services, can be found in or around the media booth.    Man O War has been his home church since 2007. 

Cynthia grew up in Kentucky and enjoys spending time with her son and grandchildren. She has been the pastor's assistant for several years and has been an integral part of the continuing operations of Man O War.
